Transitioning from nudist to naturist

With most topics I do an extraordinary amount of research before I take a stance. I learned that there is philosophical difference between nudism and being a naturist. Nudism involves being clothes free whereas naturalism involves being not just clothes free but being outdoors as much as possible enjoying nature.

  1. Amen. I have been a nudist most of my adult life and before too long realized I was a naturist more than a nudist, because I truly loved being nude not just at clubs or beaches, but all the time anywhere and everywhere. It is the best experience for me, second only to being given a second chance by my Savior, who died on the cross for me...

  2. While many see the words as equivalent in recent years the distinction has been more highlighted. Nudist seems to have come to mean someone who likes getting naked (often this has become connected with being a precursor to something sexual) in contrast to the non sexual nature of its original use.) Naturist has been more associated with a broader philosophical approach to natural clothes free living including spending more time in Nature. Not sure if the general public makes the distinction.
